Holiday Look Contest Grand Prize Winner

The decision was reached by a panel of three judges who decided according to the entry's holiday relevance, application, and over-all visual impact. We admit that we went through a difficult, arduous process in choosing a winner because there were a handful of entries that we think were fit to be the Grand Prize Winner. However, we had to painstakingly deliberate our choices in order to come up with the ultimate winner.

Without further ado, we chose Christine of Angeles City, Philippines as our Grand Prize Winner. Christine's makeup was undeniably a visual feast, a look with a decidedly holiday spirit. The burst of holiday colors was applied in such a beautiful, flawless fashion. The entire look was seamless - from the holiday colors to the feathery soft, lush lashes, to neutral lips and cheeks - everything flowed smoothly to achieve a look that was very apt for the holidays. We can't describe the look in mere words, and besides, the pictures speak for themselves.

Again, we want to stress that it was a very close contest; if only we had enough prizes so we can give awards to two more runners-up! Too bad we had to choose only one Grand Prize Winner. Hopefully, though, this will not be the last of Shades Of U's themed contests, so that more readers can have the chance to win cosmetics and other beauty products.

Congratulations, Christine! Shades Of U shall send you an e-mail regarding your prize details. Thank you to everyone who participated; you are all so beautiful and utterly talented. Watch out for more reviews, looks, swatches and everything about beauty from Shades Of U!

You still have two days to vote for the Popular Choice Winner via the Poll to the top right of your screen. Goodluck to everyone!

Lastly, we know this is a beauty blog and all, but we believe it is fitting to end a holiday look contest with a quote to remind us that it is indeed fun, relaxing, and even addicting to discuss and try out different beauty products, but at the end of the day, there are more important things than physical beauty.

“The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart”.
